BEDFORD, NH – BANKW Staffing, the region’s leading provider in staffing and recruiting services, is collecting new and gently-worn clothing item donations for Catie’s Closet, a non-profit that seeks to provide daily essentials to children ages pre-k-12 who would otherwise go without.
Catie’s Closet offers clothing that students can wear with confidence and engage with their peers without worrying about the items they lack. By transforming unused spaces in schools into closets where students can safely and discreetly shop for necessities like clothing and toiletries, Catie’s Closet impacts more than 70,000 students daily and aims to encourage students to stay in school and break the cycle of poverty.
Megan Lustig, Recruiting Manager for Alexander Technology Group, a portfolio company of BANKW Staffing, is heading the clothing drive again this year after volunteering inside Catie’s Closet. “It’s important that a child be able to express themselves as they learn and grow. Sure, it’s nice to get a donation, any donation, but to have the choice of what you want to wear, how you want to be seen—it creates confidence and that empowers students to thrive in and out of the classroom.”
