Full-time, Monday–Friday | $25–$35/hr
100% Onsite | Chelmsford, MA
Flexible hours (~8:30–5:00) | Starts June | Runs through end of 2025
We're working with a technology company that’s looking to bring on a temporary Benefits Specialist to cover an upcoming maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong benefits and leave administration background who enjoys being employee-facing and making an impact on a close-knit HR team. The team is collaborative and upbeat, and they’re looking for someone with a similarly positive, proactive attitude. You'll be joining a group of four and reporting directly to a wonderful HR Director who values clarity, support, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions, from enrollment to 401(k) and plan changes
- Administer leaves of absence (LOA), including interactive dialogues, tracking, and premium collections
- Assist with open enrollment planning, communications, and platform setup later this year
- Handle monthly benefits billing and reconciliation
- Support new hire orientations and internal benefit-related communications
- Maintain and update employee data in Workday
- 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, including LOA and open enrollment
- Strong understanding of state/federal employment law (ADA, FMLA, MA PFML, etc.)
- Proficiency with Workday HCM and comfort navigating HRIS systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills—approachable, empathetic, and solution-oriented
- Highly organized with great follow-through
